Have you ever noticed how when you wash a new piece of clothing that it has a tendency to bleed? I have ruined more than one piece of clothing because of a new piece of clothing bleeding in the wash and getting all over my other clothes. It's a good idea to wash them first before you or your baby wear them. Your skin is the largest organ on or in your body and you will absorb the die from the clothes through your skin into your body. Plus they feel softer after you wash them and they smell better. You can buy whatever soap you want, but since my son's clothes tend to get food on them and sometimes his diaper leaks and so forth and so on, so that his clothes are good and soiled that I put his clothes on a regular wash cycle then when they are done I run them through the rinse cycle again to make sure they get good and rinsed. Hope this helps you.

that's a reliable theory to bathe all toddler outfits/sheets/etc. in toddler friendly detergent- many mothers use Dreft or Ivory Snow- i exploit Tide unfastened and sparkling, it works a similar, that's a sprint greater value-effective, and we are able to bathe all of our outfits in it. I make it a element to bathe each thing first (I bypass away the tags on until outfits been washed), you do not prefer to disclose your toddler to a minimum of a few thing which you will actual ward off. My daughter is 6 months previous and we are able to proceed washing issues earlier placed on for the 1st year or 2 and after that, i could exchange my strategies approximately it :)

I would.

You never know what is on the clothes when you buy them (chemicals from the manufacturer, someone with a cold touching them in the store, etc).

Also with a new baby, their skin could be sensitive and the unwashed clothes could cause a rash, irritation, or an allergic reaction.

I always do. There are usually substances leftover from the manufacture of the items that can be irritating. Also, the fabrics are treated to keep them clean during manufacturing. I try to wash anything for myself or kids for that matter before wearing. It's a good idea.

Yes... you can buy Dreft, or any type of detergent safe for babies... I use Baby All b/c it's cheaper, and is just as good as Dreft. You never know what's on the clothes before you buy them. Not to mention any dyes or other irritants that may be on the clothes.

I was with my first nephew since the day he was born and me and his mum washed all of his clothes and sterilized everything like pacifiers etc.. because there brand new and supposed to be sterile in there package but to be sure it doesnt hurt to sterilize it yourself first as for the clothes it could have little pins they had on them or lots of excess dyes, and many people have probally touched the clothes before you bought them who knows whats on there hands... and you wanna just make sure all of that isnt on there..

I have always washed the clothes before my children wear them. I have 4 kids. I just feel like it is the safest option.

It would be a good idea. Some of the dye in the clothing may irritate the babies skin.

I would, they sometimes put stuff on new clothes like starch or something to make them look better on the hanger. That could irritate the babies skin.
