1. what do you feel when you hear the word family? (cold, warm, pleasant, hot, freezing, etc.)
2. how do you perceive the notion family? (good, bad, distructive, close, etc.)
3. how do you imagine a family? (mom, dad, kids, pets, etc.)
4. how would you define a family? (union of loving people, etc.)
Add please your age, gender, occupation/major at school. I need just the general idea, you shouldn't write about your family. Few words on each of my 4 questions:)

Please don't think too much while answering the questions. The whole research is rather complicated. It's not easy to explain the procedure. I just need you to answer my questions and then I'll do the rest. Thanks for answering.

Every family is different; to ask someone to write about "American familes" without talking about their own family is a little simplistic. We don't all have the same sort of family any more than any other country or culture. I could write about an ideal family - but it wouldn't be very realistic and probably not very accurate. Perhaps it would help if you told us what sort of research you're doing.
