My husband and I took my three year old & six year old step sons to Disney World and I was very surprised on how it wasn't geared toward young children. I would honestly tell you to wait until he/she is at least 40 inches because that is the hight limit for many of the rides but if you are deffinately going to go then I would deffinately go to the United Kingdom. This is where they have Mickey, Minnie, Goofey, etc houses. They also have the Teacups, It's a Small World, Cinderella's Castle and the parade that they have at night with fireworks. They also have a REALLY fun Buzz Lightyear ride. The Magic Kingdom is also where you see alot of the Characters. Another problem that I had though was that my youngest son who I though would love the characters was completely scared of them.
This trip was two years ago and now if I ask the youngest one (now 5) if he liked Disney World he says he doesn't remember it!!! So I honestly would tell you to wait until your child is a little old...that way they actually enjoy it!

I would definitely recommend Disneyland parks. The hotels are a 5 minute walk away and you do not have to ride a bus or monorail. It is a great experience because you can walk back and forth all day without getting tired. Although they do not offer as many rides, they have about the same amount for what a 3 year old could ride. Maybe Disneyland has one or two more, not by much though. You should really consider going to Disneyland the convenience especially since you have a 3 year old. It would take a lot of winning and pressure off of you and make it a more enjoyable experience. I would recommend staying at Disney's Grand Californian it is an exceptional hotel and right by the theme park.

The Magic Kingdom without a doubt. Have made that trip more than 12 times with my kids and have taken them to all the parks . Epcot is fun but doesn't keep their interst too long and MGM is for older kids. Recently went to animal kingdom again , and although i liked it doubt that it would hold a little ones attention for a whole day

Much of the Magic Kingdom is geared towards younger children. This park also offer quiet places to feed your child and just get away from the crowds. Borrow or buy a vacation guide for more detailed information. You can also order a free vacation planning guide and dvd from disney.com.

I recommend the Magic Kingdom at Disney World (all of fantasyland and toontown are best) and Sea World off Interstate 4.
Animal Kingdom at Disney World also has a lot of attractions and shows for young ones. :)
