These two quotes sum it up pretty good, if you can read and understand (thank a teacher if you can):
.
"If you think education is expensive, try ignorance".
--Derek Bok
.

"A man who has never gone to school may steal from a freight car, but if he has a university education he may steal the whole railroad".
--Franklin Delano Roosevelt
.
Have a nice day.

Everything I want I aim and pursue
Everything I need I realize I must do
Things in life are not handed out
My dreams and goals I can't live without
I surround myself with positive people
Because education is not getting cheaper
Seeking knowledge is what I do best
And there's not always a standard test
I can learn walking down the street
I can learn everyday of the week
I won't be misled to think that I can't
Because succeeding in life is the ability to think
So go to school and do your best
And never be satisfied with anything less
Grades are fine, they draw the line
For the type of person you are
But it's not true that the grades you make
Really exemplify you
Make an "A", make a "B", or even make a "C"
But whatever you do stay focused
And guess what? You will succeed
Education Is Important.

Education isn't important to everyone. You obviously have enough education to communicate. Education plays a direct role in the amount of money you make. College educated generally make more. I personally, like to learn.

Most big companies will not hire a person without an education. As populations grow this an easy way to eliminate people from Application Interviews. Trash those without education and then there are less to interview.

Because while some people can forge their own path (entrepreneurs), the vast majority of people are followers, and the best way for a follower to get ahead is to be the best producer for someone else. Our education system molds people into good worker-bees, so if you're not a leader, education is the way to ensure that you have some modicum of financial security in your life.

1. Gives you information, general or specific to a field
2. Teaches you to think
3. Looks good on a resume

The last one is100% serious - this can sometimes be the biggest reason. Some people won't hire you unless you have a decent education - at least on paper. They say college graduates make something like a half million dollars more than high school graduates on average over their lifetime.

It allows you to think critically so that way you are able to think for yourself and not just accept what people say for the truth.
