my list of hated songs.. is extensive!!
it includes.. 90% of so called HIT songs.. especially anything made after 1985..
It also includes the swathe of recent hip hop bling bling rap artists wannabes.. who have apparently all come out of the hardship of the ghetto.. and suffered generational struggles for freedom.. had to sell drugs to survive and commit violent crimes in cowardly gangs.. so what do they do the moment they steal the limelight.. what do these poor miracle children do when they become ultra wealthy..
well they make songs about bling bling.. they turn on women and treat them as sex objects purely to increase their sales.. they often end up broke when the records stop selling.. they promote all the ills like crime and drugs which put most of their ghetto communities to perpetual shame.. and in doing so encourage a whole new generation of young criminal haters.. who all want to bash up bitches, take drugs, steal cars and become heros one day with millions in the bank .. just like Nelly..
All that in mind.. I have rated Nelly's Grill song.. where he raps about the importance and deep significance of owning not one.. no no.. but many diamond and rare jewel encrusted face plants.. Silly Jessica Simpson even wore one at an award presentation.. can you believe it..
The sad part of it for Nelly.. is he himself is Afro american.. and seems to have the usual swagger of the oppressed.. which obviously is why he can even sell his records in his genre.. then he uses that power.. to promote the kind of crap that has had his ghetto dwelling peeps enslaved all along.. things like the diamond trade and demand for luxury goods, the fur trade which has obliterated Africa's wildlife.. are known to heavily contribute to the enslavement of African people..
Maybe Nelly just never heard about that.. or maybe he is a sellout who may have grown up with hardships..but has decided now that making money is more important than being a man of any substance..
His song rates among the most utterly absurd songs of all times.. and is historical as it represents the current absent state of mind entrenched among the Afro American "elite" .. many of whom succumb to violent crime, drugs and stupidity as displayed regularly by the likes of Nelly..
And for the record.. I too grew up in the ghetto.. I too make music..

The addictive tune, the melody, that unfortunately is sung with the owrds-

It just encourages smut and the break up of so many relationships.
