Is there a way that someone can withdrawl a restraining order from your record completly if they filed and are taking it back. Will it always be on your record or can it be removed completly?

Records can be expunged if there is no finding of guilt. This is different from being sealed. The process varies state-to-state, but all a restraining order does is legally prohibit you from doing something. In most cases, it says more about the stupidity of the person filing it than it does the person it's filed against. (After all, if someone thinks it's going to protect them - they're just being stupid - and it often antagonizes the person it's served on.)

The restraining order will remain public record. However I cannot fathom a situation where you would be forced to disclose it.

It will remain on your record even if withdrawn. This is for in the event you decide to rekindle your fascination with getting in contact with someone who doesn't want you around.

the person that put the restraining on you has to issue another court date to cancel it, and has to have a good reason why!!!
