It completely depends on the rules of your school district, which may be stipulated by state law. In my area, any domestic assault conviction will result in a teacher being canned. You should be able to find this out by talking to somebody in your district's human resources office.
Also, keep in mind the difference between an arrest and a conviction. They really are two different things.

probably, in health care or any career where you are around kids it can prevent you from working in that field with any kind of criminal record, even more with a battery or assault charge.

.It very well could, I know people that have lost office jobs for similar charges...I'm almost positive they do more thorough background checks for teachers
