How do I find a friends blog when I don't know what it's called and can't in touch with them?

It depends, the web is a huge, huge, medium to search. Do you at least have an idea of what service he is using for his blog, i.e. Myspace, Friendster, Yahoo Spaces, etc.? Do you know his email address or a screen name that he frequently goes by? You can do a search on most of the services I listed above by the email address or username. That's about it.

If they were your friend, you'd have a way to get in touch, through old mutual friends or their parents.
