at 12, concentrate at middle school. You probably will change your mind 10 times before you get out of high school on what you want to do!
to get into dental school you don't need an Ivy league education. Just do well at undergrad and then apply. Girl I know went to the Univ. of Virginia and did very well and got accepted at dental school and is now a top orthodontist.

I'm really proud of you for seeking such high standard for a College, but you may want to take baby step in a junior college
first and find out what is needed to get into the University of your
choice, but right now you need a solid foundation to help you out.
Find the locate Junior College and schedule appointment with the
Counselor.

Take a deep breath... and two steps to become a dentist.
First, go to school to become a dental assistant (it takes about 2 years) so you can find out if you really like the field and, if so, start working on the field as soon as possible. You can find a dental assistant school here http://www.ada.org/prof/ed/programs/search_dahlt_us.asp
After you become a dental assistant talk to the local college/university and complete a 4-year degree in science. Two years before graduation, go here http://www.ada.org/prof/ed/index.asp and start reading about the admission requirements for Dental Schools. Check here http://www.ada.org/prof/ed/programs/search_ddsdmd_us.asp to find programs in Dentistry across the U.S.
Hint: Neither Princeton nor Stanford offer DDS/DMD degrees.

The best thing you can do, is to start taking all the college bound courses that you can.....and make the best grades possible. That way you could apply for the TOPS program and other govenrment grants......by being a straight A student......your college, books, and dorms should be paid for. My nephew is going through his masters program right now.....and has never paid a dime for his college education.....because he's always made straight As. So don't worry about being popular, or partying......make them grades girl. I wish you the best of luck to you.

1: Relax. I don't know who told you that you need to know NOW NOW NOW what college you're going to when you haven't even reached high school, but they need to lay off.
2: If you really want to be a dentist, you should research schools with good dentist programs, not just "good" schools.
3. Don't worry about cost yet. I'm sure if you earn good grades in high school, you can receive academic scholarships, ontop of other scholarships.

why so worried about it now? you will probably change your mind about 10x b4 you even graduate. and no use trying to find prices now bcuz they will change alot b4 ya even get there... you best bet is to get a part time job (when you are old enough) at a dentist office to get an idea if it is really something you want to do.. but it is nice to see a youngster so interested in college :) just do well in school, become really active in extra curricular activities and you will be able to go to any college you want
