They don't look very real. I've got real pearls from my Grandma and they aren't soo white, they are a bit more opaque, or maybe it's cause they're older. In the website they do say the pearls are "Akoya cultured" which make them seem real, and because of the price...hmmm, no idea on this one, you may want to search on the internet for "Akoya" and see what it is, maybe then you'll get the answer ;) Good luck.

For that price, I would have to say yes. I think it would be so unfair to sell fake pearls for $50!
