I'm not really into sports, but I was watching one of the playoff games the other day and I noticed that in some players. Is that supposed to mean something?

I heard to block the sunlight when I was young. that was years ago not sure if that is the real reason or not. But the guys with shield protecters that are tinted dont have the black under there eyes.

I am very worried about 2smart4u's answer. She is obviously not too smart if she thinks the color black is a reflective color. The color black absorbs light the color white reflects light. Duh I learned that in 1st grade.........they wear the dark paint under their eyes to cut down on glare by absorbing the light. lol

Those are mostly native American football players. They wear war paint to appease their football gods.

Blocks sunlight but I think they should wear shaded visors like LT. Even though I hate him.
