My ipod headphones just busted. Basically when i play songs with alot of bass then one of the ehadphones would start making a cracking sound. It sounds like something is loose and vibrating against the headphone because when i squeeze it it stops making the noise.

They are blown. The bass burned out the mini-woofer of the speaker. You'll have to buy new headphones.

you may have to but another pair. this happens sometimes if you turn the volume up really loud. it happened to me once when my friend accidentally turned the volume up really loud. i just turn it down a bit and it works fine.
