I would probably prefer to crash party...but realistically I would end up planning the thing since all my friends procrastinate and push stuff off on me

#2 easy. There person who hosts the party is always worried that someone is going to break/steal something.

Crashing is the easiest.
Planning can be too tedious
Hosting is my pick. You get to mingle...and if I didn't have to plan, I wouldn't have to work. Plus, no DD to worry about!
