As a West Ham fan that's attended games at Upton Park for 40 years, my loyalty to the club cannot be denighed.

However, I am seriously beginning to question whether we can stay up for the following reasons/

From the number of games left, we will struggle to get points against Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea.
We need at least 38 points to stand any chance.
My maths ain't good but that would leave us approximately, 11 games to get 19 points. Also, our goal difference is far worse than the rest. In adition,

Collins probably out for the season
Tevez 6 weeks minimum
Ashton, remember him, will he be back before March?
Zamora suspended
Ferdinand out injured
Gabidon injured
Curbishley threw Konchesky out of Charlton, would he play him?

So, we need 4 defenders, a striker to score goals, and at a time when anybody who is any good, is turning down a move to a team, because they think the club will be relegated. Boy, I hope I'm wrong.

I hope not. I reckon they'll start turning things around. Charlton and Watford are definitely out I reckon. West Ham will finish at least a couple of places above the relegation zone.

Curbishley is going to have to do a few things in order to escape this:

1) leave Sheringham on the bench. Anytime I've seen him up, his reaction time is pretty horrid. He may be an old standard for the club, but in these desperate times.

2) shore up the defense. I've seen better D in a street kickabout than what is shown sometimes in Upton Park.

3) Keep Yossi Benayoun happy. This guy is a pretty good midfielder. Him and Boa Morte can probably play the midfield well.

4) back to strikers - keep Tevez and Zamora up front. Harewood has a powerful but quite retarded kick. for all you naysayers of Tevez, go look up his footage from Corinthians and Boca Jrs. It's no fluke he got South American player of the year from both of these teams.

It's going to be tight but there are enough other teams in free fall to make West Ham safe - especially with Curbs in charge and the money we have to spend.

Watford and Charlton will definitely go down.

then it's one of Sheff United, Wigan, West Ham (or one other might be dragged in.)

I think the third club to go down will be Wigan. They can't score. They have little support. Barely any money. And the manager has had enough!

Hope i'm not dreaming!

IRONS!!!

At the start of this campaign, I thought Watford, Charlton, and Sheffield were the most likely to be sent down. But the Blades have shown amazing tenacity. I think that Curbishley will perform just enough magic to escape the drop - but it may come down to the final match. Wigan would probably be the odd team out, in that case. Too bad - Jewell is a bright manager but he needs more help from their fans.

maximum of your of them are maximum appropriate aside from that Arsenal one. A win against a drained guy city team does not teach shyt. They have been given humbled by Chelsea and drew with a mediocre Liverpool section. Their next attempt would be Manutd, we will see the way it is going.

Its going to be close. They clearly need to put some results together to get out of trouble. They can do it - will certainly finish in the bottom five.

Yes I think they will. Can't see how they are going to get out of it, they are just rubbish at the moment (though admittedly I have only really seen MOTD highlights to make this judgement)!
