What would happen if the earth was swallowed by a black hole?

what would happen , give me some scenarious, and..... how would it happen?

Inferring from a text I read, two things happen, but it depends who's watching. If an observer witnesses the event from a safe distance, he or she shall see the earth being burnt to toast , the ashes of the earth being radiated back to outer space. If the observer travels with the earth, he shall continue to travel for millions of years towards the center of the black hole, as it would near the singularity, the overwhelming gravitational force would rip the earth apart, and in the words of the authors of the article that I read, "turn us into spaghetti", a bloody spaghetti with sauce, that is.
The reader should not misinterpret this as duplicacy or cloning of matter, only one event takes place, but it depends who's watching. The two events never take place simultaneously, only one does, depending on the observer.

How big of a black hole are we talking here? Does it eat the sun up first?

First it would probably knock the earth out of it's orbit from the sun, so we'd all freeze to death. If anyone was still alive, the earth would get disrupted by the tidal forces, causing basically anything on the ground to be destroyed, and massive tsunami's and basically magma pouring up through the ground. Then if anyone survives past that, the massive gravity of the black hole would pulverize the earth into itty bitty pieces as it got stretched by the tidal forces, and we'd all be compressed down into the size of an atom.

Humanity would be gone long before the black hole swallowed the planet. The gravitational force of the black hole on the earth would tear it apart and the peices would besucked into the black hole and consumed.

There aren't really any scenarios to speak of.. if the Earth was swallowed by a black hole, then.. that's what would happen. Oh, and we would all disappear into nothingness.

We would be gone.
Everything.
It would appear to happen very quickly to someone not on earth when it happened, but it would appear to happen slowly to you and I.
We would eventually be ripped apart by the tidal stress of having different parts of your body in different orbital distance from the singularity.
