I am enrolled in Kaplan ACT prep classes. Saturday was my first day so we took our diagnostic ACT test. It was the practice one and i got a 19. I know that i just started the class so i have so much more to learn but im kind of discouraged about my 19. That's such a bad score. I did worst on math and science...math because i simply took too long i guess and i didnt remeber much of the questions. Also science because i didnt even get to the third and fourth passage when the lady said "5 minutes".
Any words of advice??
Plus...does anyone know of any ACT prac. exams online which i can take but which times me....that's what i need to work on most..i cant time myself so i need something that will time for me

I recommend going directly to ACT and using their prep software, it is timed and is quite helpful. It has a couple full length practice tests as well as numerous other practice questions. It doesn't help that much with figuring out how to do well on the ACT, but thats what Kaplan is for. Don't worry about the 19, after you get the timing down, study some equations, learn tips on each section, and learn to focus on the section at hand, you'll do fine. I also heard that Kaplan and Sylvan tests are slightly more difficult than the real thing so don't be too stressed.

The ACT is a difficult test. The reason is because of the science section which is unique to the ACT. I had the same difficulty and score on the ACT and found that I did much better on the SAT. Have you tried taking the SAT? I took the princton review for the SAT and it teaches you how to beat the SAT not just practice it. The SAT I believe does not test knowledge...but rather it tries to trick you. The Princton Review really helped me get comfortable with this and I will admit that I did very well and increased my score. Maybe the ACT just isnt the right test. Most colleges will accept either too. So just find out which test you are more comfortable with and you will learn things about the tests no matter what and become quicker and more accurate.

1st. This will be mildly repetative. The garment is worn as an outside sign of an inner commitment between you and your heavenly father. The church does not claim any magical powers although some people have their stories. 2. I personally do not think that polygamy will come back. If it did in the next life it wouldn't bother me. 3. Yes I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and I believe that he not only saw God but Jesus as well. 4. I have read the stuff you wrote. This happened during a time when there was question as to whether oral sex and regular sex should both be treated equally regarding church standards and punishments. They are. Members of the church are instructed to avoid extreme perversion even in the marriage situation. They give you a leeway to determine as a couple what is perversion. Kinda like the first question I am always suprised by how many people care about what I do in my bedroom. Hey whatever works for ya. and the last question... WE are instructed that we don't have to blindly believe anything. We are instructed to pray and figure it out. The cool thing is that right is right. I have yet to have been told something that doesn't coincide with the Gospel I have been taught. Nope. But I will let you know if I do. I had some leaders that were dorks but there are just people. I don't really like some of them, but they don't tell me to do things that are against what I have been taught.

See if you local library subscribes to a database called LearningExpressLibrary. It's a test-prep database that allows to prepare for, among other things, the SAT and ACT.

The ACT people have some Test Prep stuff too at http://www.actstudent.org/testprep/index.html
