Upgrading to windows vista from windows xp?

I am think about upgrading my computer to windows vista. If I keep two hard drives can I have windows XP on one and Vista on the other?

good question. I asked the same one and got many different answers. Since my computer is 3 1/2 years old, I've decided to get a new one this year with Vista installed, hopefully that will illiminate any compatability problems.
