My friend says he is that and hes gay, so does that have to do something with gay

Emo is a style which everybody has dissagreements on the definition, (why I refere to myself as Semi-Emo, because I match some but not all definitions,) but generaly they wear dark clothes and their hair over one eye. and are not directly connected to goths. also, peopl assume that Emo people are gay/bi, but that comes from the fact that they aren't afraid to show emotion, which is regarded as gay umongst guys.

EMO, stands for emotional. It is a culture which in my opinion is totally ridiculous. Its mostly a male thing, they dress in girl clothes, as in tight shirts, and girl jeans. they were light make-up, have their hair usually parted on one side with one side covering an eye. They say they are straight, but for the most part it is a way of GAY boys hiding, and they act like they are sad. They are sad because they DON"T come out of the closet, and hide behind some fake fashion.

Emo people are usually bi, or gay. Emo stands for emotional. People that are emo dress in dark clothes, and are very self- destrcutive. They usually have a haircut that covers one eye. They are also barely ever muscular.

emo is a staerotype... someone that pitties himself and cuts himself.. and has long or spiked hair...
but i think it's just another term for emotional....
the origin though is from "emocore" music
