#1. Do you love each other or are you getting married because of the children?
#2. Do both of you respect and trust each other 100% in your relationship?
#3. Do you both communicate openly with one another about everything...money issues/intimacy/family matters/child education&discipline, etc.?
#4. Are you both committed to this marriage for the long haul, good, bad and indifferent?
#5. If in the event something medically happened to either one of you or your children, how would you react, would you be able to work things out and stay together as a family?
#6. Do both of you have the sufficient funds to raise this family, to keep shelter, love and medical care for them?
I hope this helps you, gives you an idea of things to talk over with your significant other. Good luck, God Bless and make good decisions.

Dr. Phil has a list of questions on his site that everybody should ask each other before getting married. I would suggest you do that so both of you are on the same page.

Do you LIKE each other? Do you accept the differences between you? Always respect each other, and treat each other as you would wish to be treated. Adhere to communication to the enth degree. Do NOT take each other for granted.
Agree to disagree and do NOT attempt changing each other.
NEVER lose the art of touching each other.
.......BEST WISHES......
