I have used Kroger Brand formula and had no problem. With the Kroger rewards it is cheaper and FDA regulates ALL formula. They all have to have the same amount and same quality ingredients. So store brand is just as good as Simalac and Enfamil which is generally what WIC approves.

We are always told store brands are of equal quality, and I tend to think they probably are - and yet, if it were my baby I'd go with the Enfamil or other "brand name" as well. Every once in a while there has been the occasional scare about baby formula. Once there was one lot of it that apparently lacked some nutrients. When my pediatrician told me it was safe to go back and forth between brands from time to time (as long as the baby wasn't switched from no-iron to iron willy-nilly) I made it a point to change from Similac to Enfamil or back every once in a while just so I'd know that my baby had only been on one brand for x number of weeks at a time. I figured that would minimize the disaster should someone discover that one lot or another of one of the formulas was missing nutrients (or had some other problem). I've often had concerns about the quality control on some store-brand products, although I would think if a store signs on with a baby formula company to have the formula packaged in the store's name it is probably absolutely fine and must have to meet some standard. Again, though, I didn't trust any one company for too long a period of time all at once - but maybe I was just being super-careful.

Although I haven't purchased Kroger brand, I have bought the brand they sell at Sam's Club. I would suggest looking at the nutritional values and ingredients of the Kroger brand and a "name" brand side by side at the store. You'll find there is little to no difference. My son who is 11 months, doesn't seem to prefer one to the other, and I've never had any digestive problems with the Sam's Club brand.

I didn't use that brand but most store brands have the exact same amounts of vitamins as the more expensive ones. My son had severe acid reflux due to being a preemie and when I switched him to soy formula I got the Walmart brand (Parent's Choice) and he had no problems.

I tried the wal-mart brand and it made my son very colicy and miserable. A friend of mine fed her daughter it and she was fine. If you do want to give it a try just watch the reaction of your baby, you'll know if it's not agreeing with him or her.

i used off brand and my daughter liked it fine actually better than the 2 name brands..... i would get the smallest can available and see if your child likes it before you spend a lot of money on the bigger cans.

Depends on your child. We gave my son Wal-Mart brand formula for a while, but it gave him more gas.
