You can buy a special Jewelry Dip for precious stones and gold or silver items. You just submerge the items, then clean with the little brush provided, and rinse.

toothpaste.

i swear, it works. DEFINITELY TRY IT! i actually read it on yahoo answers yesterday, because my sterling silver charm bracelet was all tarnished and nasty looking. i wasn't sure if toothpaste would work at all, or make it even worse. so i tried it on a charm i didn't like very much.... and it was sparkling new! just rub a dab of toothepaste on it with your own bare finger and wash it off with tap water.

i was so amazed. and it leaves it smelling minty fresh!

it's an inexpensive solution that everyone has at home (or at least i hope everyone does...)

Use Coca Cola- the acid in it (yes, there's acid in the drink you pair with your #7 at McDonald's) will shine it up nicely.
