I mean why should women be drafted to war?[list reasons why]

Because men can be.
Because it's only fair.
Because women can do the job just as well as men.

The only problem would be in cases of couples with children. If BOTH parents are shipped off to war, who's going to take care of the child/children? A solution would be that each couple make a decision as to who gets to stay with the child, and a petition filed for that one to stay.
(I don't believe in a draft for anyone, men or women, but if we have one, this is how it should be.)

Equal rights all the way around. I served 5 years in the US Navy in a rating that had just been opened up to women the year before I joined. There were some women that couldn't physically compete with the men, and there were some that could. The US military lowers the physical fitness requirements for women, which I think is a serious mistake. If a woman can meet the same standards as her colleagues, there is no reason she should not be allowed to fight.

A draft will be very unlikely in the US ever again, unless there are grave circumstances, due to the political ramifications thereof. And honestly, if we reach that point, we're probably already going to be up a creek without a paddle.

Nobody should be drafted. It makes an army full of people who don't want to be there, and it means that the government robs people of their very life just because it decides to.

If it ever came down to it, and our own borders and streets were under attack, though, I think there should not be a need for drafting anyone. Everyone - men, women, whoever - ought to just get out there and fight.

Just a note: If women don't generally know how to use guns they can learn just the way so many teenage boys have learned.

i think only some should be drafted. some women, despite some remarks, are able to do what it takes to be in the military. however, some aren't. there are some women who in reality aren't strong enough mentally, physically, and/or emotionally. and if they arent, they wont be helping out much anyways. but many women are. so i think that the women who are actually capeable and can handle the demands of being at war, should be drafted.

i imagine that women ought to take delivery of the alternative to signal a draft card like they do the following. in the journey that they want to be drafted then signal the cardboard at 16 or 17 years previous like the adult adult males do. immediately america does not have a needed draft. some women are a lot extra able then adult adult males to do certain jobs. I actual have seen women mechanics and women truck drivers...that isn't any large deal.

For the same reason that Women want equal rights. Women want equal rights to join the military, to equal opportunity employment, etc. So if we want equal rights the same as men, why should they be exempt in the event of a draft?

Only those who are physically and mentally capable of fighting a war should be drafted. No matter what Kate O'Beirne might have you believe, many women are indeed capable of this. If there's a war so big that a draft is necessary, you'll need all the draftees you can get. (I say "you" because I'm from Canada, a safe haven for anti-war draftees.)

If men can be drafted, why shouldn't women also be drafted? Men and women are equal, right? So they should be equally sent off to their deaths.

Men and women are equal or should be.

Many women are qualified while many men may not be.

If the country is being attacked everyone should help out.

I don't personally think women have any reason to be drafted into the war. They don't know how to use a gun at all, they're too emotional, and they complain about the slightest little thing. Also the male soldiers have to deal with the women soldiers. The women can get raped by enemy soldiers, or their own officers. They can't run fast enough.
