This might have been relevant ten years ago...but this kind of information is freely available in the web and has been for some time now.

I don't think this will aid terrorists in making bombs, they already know. But I must question the responder who said that stopping reporting of trials will mean an end of fair trials. That is a complete non sequitor. It has always been a concern that media coverage influences the outcome of trials, meaning that reporting of trials ensures that trials are not completely fair. The fairness of a trial is not influenced by media coverage.

The Government can't embargo this. It's in a court of law and the media has a right to report it without prejudice. You start preventing the media reporting court cases and you're on a slippery slope towards controlling what people can read and see.

You are not allowed to say "they made bombs" cos that's what they deny doing. The jury will decide if they are telling the truth so please don't preempt them.
As for detailing the ingredients, this information was given in open court and therefore can be freely reported. To ban the reporting of this means the end of fair trials.

You are absolutely right. But guess what?, at this time, three people have given you thumbs down. What sort of people are we sharing this site with? The left wing media are now more dangerous than some of the nutters living in this country.

Oh Yeah! That would be a great idea. Let's just put the instructions for creating IEDs on TV. Every disgruntled nutcake in the world would appreciate that.

I find it a bit stupid when news channels tell the whole world how bombs are made or supposedly secret plans. They should mention it but not tell everyone what the gov is doing if its meant to be secret, or ho to make weapons.

You can get the ingredients and info how to make it on the web so it would not make any difference... Its not as if the terrorists only knew how to make a bomb after watching news at ten.

They tell you some but not all the required ingredients and you need to know how to combine them anyway.
