I am a big NY Ranger fan! They play that song, for traditions and to get the players and fans pumped up! Once I went to a Ranger game and they played Sweet Caroline, and they had stopped playing it because the ref dropped the puck, but all the fans still sang the words!

What does it matter. Shouldnt you be happy that they score a goal anyway. Every team has a song that they play whenever the home team scores. Most of the time the canes play the Woo Hoo song.

i'm not sure, but i DO now the red sox play it during the 8th inning ..that's the real mystery!
maybe they're just copying the red sox..hoping the rangers will finally win the cup again..
