I don't know, but they don't win that much, so you don't hear it often.

I am a big NY Ranger fan! They play that song, for traditions and to get the players and fans pumped up! Once I went to a Ranger game and they played Sweet Caroline, and they had stopped playing it because the ref dropped the puck, but all the fans still sang the words!

Its common to play an uplifting song after a victory. The Rangers play "Sweet Caroline".

What does it matter. Shouldnt you be happy that they score a goal anyway. Every team has a song that they play whenever the home team scores. Most of the time the canes play the Woo Hoo song.

Go Canes

Maybe because it's written and performed by Neil Diamond and he was born in New York? Just a guess.

Because they stole it from the Red Sox, who play it at every game. Watch Fever Pitch.
