I agree with 黒日本人首風篠部.
The only way to really celebrate is to understand what he went through to change the world.
And it worked..but we have a long way to go still.
I don't think of it as any other day because I'm aware of it, unlike most of the people in the states. People don't realize what this day means...that needs to change.

I don't know if "celebrate" is the correct word, but I do try to spend some time reflecting... I read through his I Have a Dream speech, and I spend time actively being thankful that I live after he did...
