Given the choice of former governors, federal legislators, state legislators, or those without prior government positions, which character types make better presidents? As a supplementary question, what makes a good president?

I think Presidents that have some history with the Legislative branch of government, find it easier to implement national policy and have better relations with Congress than those who did not.
Harry Truman, Gerald Ford, John Kennedy - they came from the previous legislative experience and are fondly remembered.
Ronald Reagan, while a good president, didn't have that background and often had to fight for what he wanted with Congress (more so than Ford). Same with Clinton, George W. Bush, and others.

We the People do The people of the U S A. QUIT ignoreing what is going own around stop standing up for what is wrong and stand for only what is right.Quit saying yes to the thing,s we the people know we should be saying know to. Act like you have been raised with morals even if you haven,t Quit putting up with just voteing anybody in that position and Put someone in their that has a BACK BONE..And Someone WHO is not going to STAND for the one,s coming to OUR country Who are RUNNING from a country of SELF Destruction And COMING HERE to turn our Country into SelF DESTRUCTION.And it is happening And a President who WILL Give us back our backbone,,,Which is what this Country has always, based it,s Trust IN and that Is GOD...We are so CONFUSED that we can,t see the Tree,s for the forest wake up We the People of the U S A because we have turned our back,s own God whom we have alway,s placed our trust..That is what is wrong before we The people TURNED our Back,s Own god and let the un Godly come here and place their desturiction own us AND YOU KNOW WHAT? IT IS WORKING...Let OUR leader,s whom we the People put in office to run our Country don,t blame the President BLAME we the people for letting it happen...We the U S A are worried about or Hair or who has this or Brand name clothes or I am going to out do Paul because He can,t have better then Me .And we all are guilty.So.. I don,t want no one Leading this Country that put,s up with taking God out of our Country Or allowes someone to come here and do it..Do you if not then pass the word the only thing that is going to save us is God and we have turned our back.s own Him...And we all should be so ashamed..Need some proof how much do you need? I can show you tell you and PROVE it !...How much more proof do we need.Time is running out and we can make a change send em home the one,s that are here that don,t beleive,Because they are only here to cause DEStruction...And a President That Want Be afraid to stand up for God and not be a shame too Don,t need to be running this Country or any Country That is what is wrong! Bill Gates would make an excellent president because he’s a successful businessman, makes decisions based on reason instead of superstition, and has a track record of trying to help the poor through his foundation.

a lot as i love Eminem (own customary rapper) i doubt he'd be a good president. perchance vice chairman or something cos he does have a good voice. I reckon Will Smith can make a good president. He has a good personality.

Governors because they are experienced in running the business of the state. Senators and legislators are experienced in politicking, not in actually running any thing.
