I should hope not! That's stupid! It shouldn't be a Holiday anyway! There's not an Alexander Graham Bell holiday or a Thomas Jefferson holiday. MLK didn't do anything any more important than them!

As usual, as soon as the ACLU is mentioned the facts of the story get tossed out the window.
The ACLU sued because Houston's "one parade a day" rule violates the constitution (and has already been proven in the past to violate the constitution). It was only peripherally involved with MLK day, and had absolutely nothing to do with funding.
Try checking your FACTS next time. It didn't take more than 5 minutes of looking to find them.

Memorial Day and President's Day are not listed as Holidays either.... They have been around a lot longer than MLK day. I believe they are covered by the General - Holidays category.

I didn't know anyone could sue for such a thing. Doubt if they get sued It's a preference who celebrates or notes it.

And what about gay pride parade day? That will probably go on the list before long, too (sadly).
