If/when they find him, if he isn't already dead, he will be then.

I agree I think he will be found dead or at least that will be the official version. I doubt the United States will want to suffer through another nightmare like the negative publicity generated by the Saddam hanging.
The other thought is that if he is not already dead, they would want him alive for obvious reasons.
