My XBox 360 is brand new. The game is in perfect condition.
I've read a bunch of threads online where people say they have had the same problem.
Is it the disc?

ok check ur acrobat reader to see if its compadible if not download it from acrobat.com to get the latest version thats all i know i havent played that game

Check if any of your other games work if; they all don't work its your xbox. If Gears of War is the only one not working you should check the warrenty on it or try to return it at the place that you got it.

idk but my 360 wasnt working yesterday. go to xbox.com. support. 360 hardware or something. and then one of them is disk read error.
