Day after day, I visit this section and read about people passionately defending Bush.

Now, I don't live in the US and I don't have anyone in Iraq or Afghanistan.
BUT are you people blind?

this man is a dangerous moron who has created more ennemies for your country than any other president, who has sent your army to die for a cause that no one understands yet, you have gone from this modern strong power that we all admired to this country who has completely lost the plot and who is just bullying its way around the globe ( enough the blatant support for israel to destroy Lebanon in such a barbaric way) you were our role model for human rights and now all we hear is how you treat your pows, we have seen you manipulate the UN until we have lost faith in it.

Meanwhile you couldn't disarm North Korea, Iran, Hisbollah is still standing and Where is Bin Laden? you have achieved nothing in your war on terror.
why are your people dying? why do you support Bush again?

ok Lane, so it makes sense to you that an average of 15000 people have died (3000 of yours) to free Iraq from a dictator?

BMCR: whether I want Hizbollah destroyed or not is irrelevant and doesn't justify the amount of violence in any case.
My point is YOU wanted hizbollah destroyed and they are still standing.

Just a side comment:

You said: "Hizbollah is still standing". You seem to imply that that is a failure. Thus, logically speaking, if Hizbollah was destroyed by Israel then this would be a success. So, one can assume that this is a good thing, not just for Israel but also for Lebanon, where Hizbollah has messed up the scene to the point where it may be on the brink of civil war again (depends on many other factors, I'm sure).

So, why did you also state "enough the blatant support for israel to destroy Lebanon in such a barbaric way"? Since, as you know, Israel's goal was to destroy Hizbollah, then support for the removal of what both countries consider a terrorist organization is kind of obvious. That should be expected (in theory) even from a Democrat.

For the record, Israel's assault, although it had tragic civilian casulties, was exclusively targeting Hizbollah encampments.

My point being is that you contradict yourself in a what I consider a lame attempt to whine against Bush. Since you say you are Lebanese, I wonder if you would have been happy if Israel had actually destroyed Hizbollah. From what I've read, many Lebanese would have been. Those that wouldn't have been... well, they are Hizbollah supporters or sympathiziers. Which camp are you in?

Update:
Actually what your views on the matter are regarding Hizbollah when you make statements about them are totaly relevant. Because if you were really anti Hizbollah you would realize them for what they are, a terrorist organization that does your OWN country no good. That being the case, Israel's going after them is fully justified, especially sicne the constitute an existential threat to Israel and they pose a danger to the stability of your own country. "Going after them" really means WAR and thus you'd recognize that war is neccessary and people get hurt in war. This is a basic fact that should be obvious but some people tend to ignore.
The only problem is that Israel failed. But you do not seem to be disappointed in the fact that they failed but the fact that Israel did it in the first place and the US's support of that.
Thus, I can come to the conclusion that you are probably pro Hizbollah or possibly sympathetic to their cause. Which would, in turn, explain your lousy attitude towards the US and the Bush administration.

Dear Webby, My basic agreements are the same as Star Galac. My feelings are that George Bush is not a good president. However, that does not make us bad people. We have the best country in this .world. We have had our ups and downs but we are survivors and everyone wants to live here. The American public is not naive. We will correct the problems in our government. None of this would have even started if it had not been for Osama blowing up our trade center. We had to take a strong action. I'm so sorry for all the lives lost on both sides. We obviously had a break down in our information services, but we are stronger for it and much the wiser. I'm concerned that people not friendly to the United States will come on this site and bait unsuspecting members to say things about and against our country and use it for propoganda. Make no mistake, we know our mistakes and will vote people in this next time that more properly represent us. In God We Trust. He will guide us. God bless you.

where and when did NK and Iran dismantled their nuclear projects? You reason well, but don't jump the gun yet. Democrats now control Congress, and if you know about our government system, you'll find out that in future events President Bush will have trouble. If the US Congress has the backbone, in few months, they will bring back the US troops from Iraq. Plus the speaker of house, Nancy Pelosi feels somewhat like yourself, but actually Pelosi feels much worse about Bush than you do. there is even talks of impeaching the President, but who knows what will happen this year.

I help him, hes achieved what he believed became suitable, no longer common. He asked the Congress for permission to apply rigidity to oust Saddam, it became additionally in help of a decision handed interior the 90s making that a countrywide coverage of the U. S.. Up till 2003 maximum well known Democrats additionally suggested that Saddam had weapons of Mass Destrution and became attempting to construct or aquire greater. In 2002 Bush tried to establish a countrywide comprensive capability coverage that could have addressed our problems and inspired the form of substitute capability. Stopped by using shortsighted liberals that have been disillusioned that he had went to professionals interior the sector for suggestion. the main important situation with Katrina became that the community and State government (the two Democrat run) had no plans for evac the inhabitants and did no longer enable federal help in for a pair of days. What he did interior the so suggested as "wiretapping" we captured numerous hundred telephone numbers in Afganistan. those numbers have been listened in on. the basis being that it became in simple terms obtainable that folk interior the U. S. have been contributors of Al Quada, thinking the events of 9-11 a secure precaution (you do keep in mind that date do no longer you?) far as torture is in touch, have you ever heard of Dan Pearl? What we do to convey at the same time information from those that do such issues isn't something. And from what I particularly have study of it what we've achieved is easy in comparison to what happens to captured individuals. So I help the president and thank God that somebody you help isn't president.

Yes, generally speaking we are blind. Our TV media focuses mostly on sensational stories (both CNN and FOX), while most of us don't bother with other sources of information that could help us see how the world truly works. We are just lazy, and prefer to rely on soundbites and misnomers--such as "liberal"--instead of scratching the surface and seeing the things the way they really are.

Six years ago, I had a Republican friend who voted for George W. Bush. I am a Democrat. I told him, "If he wins the Presidency, there will be a war in the Middle East, and the price of oil will go through the ceiling." My friend said that I was "crazy." Now, he is a Democrat, just like me.

I do not support Bush but live in an area and worked in an area where most of the people did. They were all very conservative religious people who simply based their opinion on him from his professed alliance with Christianity and talk of religion and a changed life. I was the only one in the building who didn't vote for him. Interestingly, I heard NOTHING about him for the next 6 years from anyone. The silence was most amusing to me although it couldn't be farther from a laughing matter considering all the humanity that has died and our reputation as a nation and people has suffered. I can still oppose the war and administration and be a Christian and support our brave troops. I am familiar with war and the toll it takes. I have heard the cries of the widows and seen the children who lost loved ones and the young men who saw their buddy blown up with a grenade and married a Korean vet who did triage on the front lines.
