You can use the inverse tangent function on pretty much any calculator to find out.

Tan A = 1/2

Tan^-1(1/2) = 26.56505118

Round to 27

Also, if your calculator gives you .463647609 as an answer, it is in radians. Hit the mode button and put it in degrees and you will get the right answer.

On the calculator:

tan^-1(1/2) = 26.56505118 degrees

So, to the nearest degree, 27 degrees.

P.S. It is not 45 degrees. tan(45) = 1
