Exercise regularly especially walk, a lot!!! Take your prenatal vitamins. Eating eggs is very good...not only is it a good source of protein, it contains nutrients that are great for brain development!!! Do your kegel exercises...(Look it up if you don't know..) Drink lots of water & check with your doc/midwife if you can start drinking Red Raspberry Tea...Very good for the uterus! Educate yourself well about labor & delivery!!!! Pregnancy is only 9 months & with common sence you will get through...But labor & delivery are hard to get through with just common sence, learn as much as possible!!! Good books to read are: The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth by Henci Goer (I give that one 5 stars a must read!)...What To Expect When You Are Expecting, (I don't know the author?) Massage can be very bennificial also! Hope that helps!

Exercise is soooo important. Long walks are great for your metabolism and it loosens up your muscles. Try and walk as much as possible. Or, if you can find a stationary bike to use, that's great exercise too. If you can keep exercising throughout the pregnancy, it'll help you lose the baby weight after. Keep taking prenantals every day and iron supplements. I was very anemic and that was making me sluggish. Pregnant women need lots of iron. Get lots of sleep because after the baby is born, you'll have many long nights of feeding the baby. That's all I can think of besides eating healthy. Good luck.

Prenatal vitamins are essential. Do not try to exercise if you have not exercised before getting pregnant. If you have been exercising regularly, you can continue to do so, but only at a level that is comfortable. Throughout my pregnancy, I learned to deal with the aches and pains associated with it. I did not take any medications, but it is always best to talk to your doctor before anything.

take your vitamins, eat several small healthy meals, exercise will help with those aches and pains, you could try walking or swimming. (swimming is actually excellent exercise for mom to be) you could also look into massages, ask about pregnancy massages, that will feel good and again help with aches. The "What to Expect....." books are really insightful. Other than that, take it easy, and enjoy the pregnancy, it'll be over before you know it.

Just like everyone else said-- Walk, at a comfortable pace, at least 1-2 miles per day. You can keep this up until you deliver. Whenever you're seated, elevate your legs and feet to keep swelling down (it got really bad for me at the end, I missed seeing my ankles!)... Keep a whole bunch of pillows in your bed-- one behind your back to keep you propped on your side, one under your head (of course), one in front of you under your belly as it grows, and at least one between your legs, otherwise your hips will be in tons of pain just from sleeping! The first thing my husband said when I came home after having my son (who is now 2 weeks old) was that it was great to be able to kiss his wife good night without having to battle with all the pillows!
Drink tons of water, I know it makes you have to pee, but if you don't you risk preterm labor.
Lastly-- Enjoy it! Pregnancy seems to go on forever, but afterwards you miss the feeling that you're carrying your child with you all the time, feeling what they feel!

take tylenol for the aches and pains, you can take the recommended amount on the bottle. make sure you get enough folic acid, if you are not on prenatal vitamins get some folic acid tablets. you can do a low energy workout. walking, some running, i choreographed a routine for my pom squad at 7 months and was just fine. ride bike. get plenty of rest, and you are going to hear this alot but when the baby is napping you should nap, trust me it is the only way you can catch up. good luck and congrats!!

Reverend Les should understand the value of Mommy Dialog.
You should take care of yourself as if you were not pregnant. Don't eat things that are bad for you or typically upset your stomach since baby usually makes that worse. Don't eat too much sweets, and eat things high in iron. I got anemic with both of mine and the iron pills are really cruddy. If you can stand liver that is the best.
Doing low impact excercise makes delivery and recovery easier. Try as much as you can to breast feed. Not to mention the things that you get (yeah if you had none like me) it helps your stomach shrink back to its normal size, and it gives baby all of your immunities. Every cold or illness you have had your breast milk give the baby those antibodies.
Keep asking lots of mommies, and remember you are an individual and their experiences may not help or harm you.
