[i got this wrong on a test and i just wanna know what the correct answer is and why]

A)equal masses and the same number of molecules
B)different masses and a different number of molecules
C)equal volumes and the same number of molecules
D)different volumes and a different number of molecules

[i put B but that was wrong]

The answer is C, presuming that CO2 and CO are behaving as IDEAL GASES.

Ideal gas behavior includes that the same amount of gas occupies the same volume at the same temperature.

That is, for example, at STP (0 deg C, 1 atm) that ANY ideal gas occupies 22.4 L .

Compare that to C, and that's why it's correct.
