I guess you are either a playworker if so you should know what a play cue is, or either that your studying to become one, I work as a playworker for Cardiff Children's Play Services? there are aren't many books on playwork on the market but one very good one is PLAYWORK by Penny Tassoni ISBN 0435449141. there is also a book by Ann Davy of the same title ISBN unknown, and a book called the FIRST CLAIM,which was written and compiled with Cardiff Children's Play Service ans Kids Clubs Network Wales.again ISBN number unknown but I can find out if you want.
But to answer your question basically a child's play cue is when a child wants an adult to come and play with them, and there are lots of ways they do it, example an open invite for an adult to come and play with them meaning they come and ask,or another example a child may do this through behavior "seeking attention".

Can you be a little more specific? Like where did you see or hear the reference? Are you sure its spelled right? Possibly it means a child's size cue stick, for playing pool (billiards).
