ok dont listen to these people they're idiots. You dont have to buy it off itunes, you need to convert it from dvd format to mpeg4, depending if you have a mac or pc there are different programs. The only program that i have found for mac is "handbrake" and its free. PC converters you'll have to search for yourself, just type in google "convert to mpeg4" once the file is converted (usually saved to your desktop) drag it to the itunes program and it should load to itunes, the drag it from the movies folder on your itunes to the movies folder on your ipod and it will load. Im awesome btw

My friend needed something to convert his media to his mobile device, I told him about this and he loves it.
CloneDVD mobile converts your DVD movies quickly and easily into a format that your portable device (Sony PSP, Apple iPod Video, iAudio X5, Creative Labs ZEN Vision, etc) can play. You can also convert your DVDs to other file formats, such as DivX, XviD, AVI, MP4, etc.
Watch your movies on the go
With CloneDVD mobile you can put your favourite movies or TV series on your mobile video equipment and watch them wherever and whenever you want. Let the kids watch their favourite cartoons in the car.
Incorporating the user-friendly interface of Elby's CloneDVD and the well-engineered open source project MEncoder as the conversion engine makes CloneDVD mobile a fast, easy-to-use and quality product that is very reasonably priced.
Copying a DVD to your mobile video machine is achieved in a few mouse clicks and without the need to rip it to your hard-disk. Note that copying protected DVDs also requires AnyDVD.

Here's a guide. It's very easy and is step-by-step.
And the software needed is also free. Look into it:

I'm pretty sure you have to buy it on iTunes...Did you try pulling up iTunes and then putting the DVD in your computer disk-drive? I'm not sure if that'll work, but you could give it a try!
