i hate hollywood remakes.
they are about to remake one of the best korean films of all time.

i know some people say that they cannot raad or wont read subtitle but that even if a film is americanzed it is not as good as the original and the original losses its value.

I loved the original. I can't see how this one can be as good. I think they could have chosen a better actress. Elisha Cuthbert just doesn't seem right for the role.

I've never heard of this movie before now. The reason is because I live in the United States and they just don't show 'Korean' movies in the United States. One reason for this is because MOST Americans don't speak Korean and won't read subtitles at a movie they've paid ten bucks to 'see'. So, when a movie like this, from another country, gets 'remade' into an 'americanized' version, then ISN'T THAT A GOOD THING? Now, today I learned this movie existed. When it's released I'll get to watch it. Neither would've happened if not for an americanized remake. So YES I'm all for seeing new movies from other countries and this is the only feasable way for Hollywood to get this movie to my local movie theatre then I'm all for it being remade. If it isn't, then I wouldn't have even heard of it much less got the chance to see it. :-)

I agree with you: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I hate remakes as well. Do people in hollywood not have any creatvity? All the seem able to do lately is remake movies.
