I had mine done and my water broke two days later
It can and WILL work, if your baby and your body are ready for it to work.
My midwife suggested curb walking. She said you'll feel stupid, and probably look silly doing it. Walk up and down the street with one foot on the curb, and the other on the road. It'll rock your pelvis and encourage your cervix to soften up a bit.

Hi,
Your cervix needs to be soft and in a good postion for one to be done and successful, but even when u have one its not nessecerily gonna work. I dont now the rate but i now very few it has worked on.
I think you will have more fun in having sex to bring on labour, i did that with my first and within 1 hour my labour started i gave birth 4 days before my due date.
Try tweeking ur nipples that can help bring on labour.
or if ur brave enough try some castor oil and orange juice that got me going with my 2nd child i was a week late.
Watch out for the signs that labour is looming, eg, obsessive cleaning, ironing, or one that is always a sure sign for me cleaning the oven!! everytime i have gone into labour 12 hours b4 i have cleaned my oven!!!
Good luck Rx

I had a sweep in 2 of my 3 pregnancies and with both the contractions did start a few hours later- enough to go to hospital, thinking that the baby would be born soon!, BUT, to my frustration, everything came to a stop!!! and home I went!!

I got one on the friday when I was 4 days over and didn't go into labour until the wednesday, 9 days over!
So it took 5 days to work! They do make you have a show and can help speed things along but a baby will come when its ready!

I had this achieved on and went into labour an afternoon and a a million/2 later. the actual technique exchange into enormously uncomfortable yet purely took a minute or so. From what I hear the fulfillment fee of that's enormously sturdy. :)

i think that a membrane sweep is a good option, if you cant wait until then try intercourse, it worked for me, also the membrane sweep worked for my sister-in-law, otherwise just an internal can work...good luck..
