You need to ask the company you work for as they all differ.

Federal workers get off so many holidays it is sickening.

Most of the rest of us just get to go to work.

Here is the list of the most common paid American holidays. Keep in mind there is no "mandatory" holiday or holiday pay so your company may be much different.

New Year's Day
Memorial Day
4th of July
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Christmas Day

Any more than that and you are lucky.

It differs by company, but most give the follow off as paid holidays:
New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. Past that, it's up to the employer.

Depends what country you are in. In the UK, there are eleven paid public holidays (don't make me name them all!), plus you must have at least four weeks' paid annual leave (assuming you are on a full-time, permanent contract).

It depends on your company. Some take all national hoildays off including Martin Luther King Jr. Day like today. Unfortunately, some, like mine, do not.
