Beckham can only play for England internationally. His England career may well be over as he was dropped from the team by the current English Manager / Coach.. In club football he is about to play for The Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer in the US. Before that he played from Manchester Utd and Real Madrid.

He already is freaken famous! The ones that are searching more fame are the players in the MLS!!! That's why they got a world-class player like Beckham!

He is using the USA to become rich. His skills are declining and he sees the US as a place where he will again be the center of attention on a team while making more money than he would be signed for in Europe when his contract with Real Madrid expires.

Guess they're banking on the idea that they will sell oodles of Beckham jerseys.
Fact is....Americans aren't that impressed with Beck's....let alone soccer.

Beckham is a has-been in Europe so he's coming to America in hopes of reviving his glory days when he was actually considered to be a good soccer player as opposed to just an over-payed roster filler.
