The other answers are correct. The Pats fans on my street got together to watch the game yesterday. Some of the native SoCal people cheer for the Chargers. A few still cheer for the Raiders (one of the local radio stations carries all of the Raider games), a few even cheer for the Rams, who were in SoCal for about 50 years before moving to St. Louis. There are a lot of Giant fans roaming around. They turn into Yankee fans in a few weeks and have to be watched. The football teams that draw the greatest interest and loyalty are USC, UCLA and the other Pac 10 schools that most of the people out here went to. USC is so huge that the station that carries the Angel games preempts them for USC games. Can you imagine WEEI preempting the Red Sox to broadcast a BC football game?

Many do. But many are still Raiders or Rams fans. More likely Raiders.
Actually, I've found that in LA, people are fans of all different teams. My favorite is the Patriots, but the Chargers are a close #2. That game on Sunday was absolute torture for me. I think since many, many Angelinos aren't originally from here, people are fans of the team where they grew up.
We do love our Trojans! Fight On! (Unless you attended UCLA)
