Something more than yes/no would be great! Why? How have Jade's family behaved? Were the producers right to ask someone who had never heard of the show or its image before?

First of all, she's definitely being bullied, no one can dispute that. Being an indian, i can definitely admit to her being very annoying. She does come across as being very spoilt, however, this is understandable if you know how famous she is India. Let's face it, which REAL celebrities aren't??. Calling her an indian, definitely is not racist, because she is one! How can indian people not see that?? I'm an indian and hate it when people jump at the first opportunity to play the race card, we're too PC. Calling someone a dog, complaining about their cooking, and mimicking an accent is NOT racist.
On the otherside of the argument, there have been some but not many racist remarks, claims of her being called a paki, comments made about india -

Danielle- 'Maybe in India, thats how they cook chicken?'
Jo- 'Yeah thats why they're so skiny, because they all have the sh!ts, [laugh]
Danielle- 'I hate the way she touches peoples food, is that how they eat in her country? it's disgustin'
Jo- 'Yeah, disgustin, you don't know were there fingers have been do ya?' [laugh]

This, in my opinion, is racist, think about how you would feel if you were in a foreign country and this was how people were speaking about you. Get real people, I don't know how some people can say she's not being bullied, jus look at how often those 3 girls b*tch about her. It'll be interesting to see how they react to these comments when they get out, while Shilpa will go back to her REAL celebrity status. On the whole, she does have a lot of class, well educated, and is a real celebrity, who is definitely not in big brother for the money. This however has its downfalls, of her being so spoilt, expecting the attention, and not being able to cook a chicken!! Nonetheless, that is no excuse for people to gang up on her, playground stuff is for schoolkids, not washed up celebrities looking for a career revival.

I can't watch Celebrity BB due to the fact that I don't live in the UK, but I have watched clips of what has been going on in the house on the C4 website and have read what's been generally going down... and I must say, if that kind of disgusting behaviour isn't deemed racist, I don't know what is. It is quite obvious, from the way that Jade speaks (her intonation, etc.) that she isn't the brightest bulb of the lot, and I guess the same could be said for the other two girls that just sit there and giggle at every stupid little thing that comes out of Jade's uncouth, filthy mouth. I wish Shilpa Shetty all the luck - she's a really brave girl for sticking this out.

yes, what else could u call it, the fact that some of the white people are ganging up on her! from what i can see the only thing shilpa has done is be too nice, they have made reference to her Asian culture in a negative way, they have singled her out! why? if she was a nasty person i could see the justification, but as there is none, the only reason they must not liker her is the fact that she is Asian

white people do have a habit of singling out people of colour, without stating that colour is the reason they find some other stupid reason like, the way they dress, they way they cook etc. Then they find reasons to justify it, as you can see by watching the programme

if shilpa was not there they would probably pick on Jermaine

While many may think that the comments of Miss Shetty's housemates are relatively harmless, they are very offensive to the victim and those who come from her background. Unfortunately there are still many in Britain who, like her housemates, think that such remarks are just banter and 'fun'. Are they racist? I think they betray a racist mentality, i.e. that people of other races are somehow inferior, just because they are different. Bullies and crass people are always making light of their offensive and abusive behaviour, and one should not be surprised when they attribute their behaviour to other reasons, e.g. 'girlie' bitching.
Miss Shetty, however, should take comfort from the fact that those people who have been dishing out such treatment upon her are largely from 'Little Britain' - the louts, the uneducated, ignorant (you know the type - they don't even know that they have been using chopsticks and not fingers in China for thousands of years), the uncouth. Fortunately, there are many who are disgusted by such crass behaviour and will not want to be associated with it. Btw, the accents of Miss Shetty's housemates are positively revolting!
She should get out the house asap, and take a good, long shower (is there a detox shower?) to rid herself of any trace of association with those who have proved to be way beneath her in status, grace, education, real ability - in fact, in everything. One hopes that her getting involved with BB is a blip in her otherwise good judgment.

Of course she is. And it's appalling that people are justifying it by suggesting 'the race card is being played' or that 'at least Jades' honest' and 'Shilpa's not even famous in the UK' none of those excuses can possibly jusify the behaviour displayed by Jade, Jo and Danielle.
Her accent is mocked, her cultural differences have been the subject of hilarity, even the moronic attempts at getting her name right by Jade's mother was somehow seen as clever, funny eccentricity. Shilpa is an easy enough name to pronounce even to someone with limited brain cells.
What I see are three very ugly, inarticulate, jealous females, who do not how to deal with someone who is beautiful, elegant, well mannered and successful. So they resort to the only behaviour they're good at, pack mentality.
I would assume we aren't seeing the very worst of it, Channel 4 will be keen to protect themselves, but obviously things are bad in there since Dirk, Jermaine, Ian and Cleo have all expressed concerns at different times.
I would think so much more of them if one of them would bring the subject up and tell those three ugly women that their behaviour is disgraceful and remind them that people watching are more than likely not coming away with a good impression of any of them.
Jade needs to remember that what has been handed to her without much effort, can just as easily be taken away. And Jo and Danielle will hopefully fade back into obscurity along with her

if what they say in the report is true it is racism. not sure if its abuse though. The members of the house that are doing this are unfortunately just a representation of the level of society from which they come. the effect of acting this way on such a high profile programme rather than behind closed doors is yet to be seen. In the end i dont think a lot of the jade fan base that has built her success has come from the Asian community anyway.

Yes..I very much feel that she is abused by the fellow participants. Being an indian woman and seeing another indian woman racially abused i feel personally insulted and makes me develop a disliking towards the european people who have this cheap behavior. I strongly condemn this racial discrimination and the fact that they are making fun of the hindu Gods. People should respect the other people's culture and beliefs. Their behavior in this program shows just how ignorant and stupid this people can be. People who are good and genuine do not have this behavior. Its a pity that shilpa is still in this program.

Yes, in fact it is and I feel sorry not only for Shilpa but all those who are subjected to racism anywhere. This show proves that racism runs in blood of people and cannot be easily eradicated from any society. Racism happens whenever any person finds himself in a society of a different culture and language. Within India, a south indian is subjected to cultural racism if he travels to any city of north india and is unaware of the cultural adaptations and language, slang, accent or dialect. BTW I am not a south Indian, just wanna convey that this sickness is not just about black and white it is about one odd person in a situation amongst a group of shitheads.
Now that woman asked Shilpa if she ate with her hands. Hmmn.... Shilpa could have asked back "Do you perform fellatio on your partner with a knife and fork !!!" . Wish I was there he he :)

yes absolutely, if it was the other way around and an asian person was saying comments such as 'we dont know how clean a white persons hands are!!' towards a white person it would be picked up on and slammed straight away, i dont think they should stop showing and editing these clips when jo, danielle, jade and jack make these comments as it doent give a true portrayal of how they really are and they appear innocent, or maybe they should be thrown out for this kinda behaviour or punished that way their behaviour is publicised within the house as well as in the outside world! i see shilpa can sometimes be annoying as she cries continuously but i would be crying in just the same way if i was gettin picked on about ridiculous things, shes a strong person for staying in there and putting up with it for so long and not once has she mentioned that she is being targeted because of the colour of her skin she instead sees it as faults in herself as she claims that she is not as fun as them. other things have also been said such as 'bloody paki' by the ignorant jack, now if that isnt racism please tell me what is?!

i did not evaluate it is be racist abuse and then I realised that Channel 4 have admitted Jack used the P observe to describe Shilpa. It grow to be beeped out and would nicely be considered on u-tube. No-one modern-day corrected him and this concerns me as he 'hates' her. an rather good observe to apply except he has yet another concern which includes her or her heritage? anybody benefits appreciate and that i locate it unhappy even as people chosen to revert back to this infantile schoolground behavour even as they sense threatened. i imagine Jermaine is spot on even as he reported Jade feeling threatened by using Shilpa and the possiblity of Jade dealing with a disaster. I also discovered it unhappy that fairly of being proud that she grow to be fashionable for 'only' being in huge Brother, Jade took this as an insult. Jade grow to be censured by using anti-bully charity Act hostile to Bullying, which, paradoxically, she helps. dropping her photo from its website, the charity reported Jade’s behaviour grow to be “unforgivable”. they have positioned a police vehicle outdoors and Danielle's relatives are doubtlessly being threatened by using anit-racist communities. those ladies favor to be very careful. it would not remember in the experience that they intend this to be racist! Jade, Jo and Danielle, locate concepts on the thanks to ward off the spit and eggs!
