It's called "Queen Bees and Wannabes" by Rosalind Wiseman and it is a non-fiction book (a what to know about cliques and young teenage girls). I got it for when my oldest turned twelve and it has some good information. The story of Cady and the Mean Girls comes from examples and stories contributed by professionals and parents.
