Actually it does and I'll tell you how. Take native people who live near the north pole and native people who live on the equator. In general the people at the north pole will be shorter to conserve heat and stockier for fat reserves to stay warm and help them through the lean times. Native people who live near the equator are typicall leaner and taller. This is because they need height to see what is ahead and it also allows for them sweat more. In addition, they are lean because a fat person would not make it on the open plains.

This has to do with natural selection. However genetics does play a role in this and now with people travelling all over the world it is not as easy to see this correlation.

I have traveled quite a bit to south America . I call my theory the challenge to life. The closets to the equator the less intelligent the people are,as here for instance our for fathers had to learn how to preserve food for the winter. If u grow up near the equator it is simple to go into the jungle and get something.
