Because guys don't come with hymens. It did not hurt my first time, but then my hymen may have been broken when I was younger, in an accident. If you are scared, you will tense up, which will make it more likely to hurt. If the guy can't relax you before starting, then you are both too young for sex.

As said already, because a woman has a hymen and a man does not. Depending on a lot of factors, it may or may not hurt when a woman has sex the first time. Some women break their hymen through physical activity, using tampons, sports, riding horses, etc., so they might not experience pain during their first act of intercourse. Even if a woman does not have a hymen, and even if she is not a virgin, she can still have pain during intercourse if she is tense, scared, not turned on, the man's penis is very large, etc.

I did not experience any pain the first time I had sex, though I did bleed a little for a couple days afterward.

If you are scared, I would recommend waiting and not having sex. That first experience can color the way you view sex for many years to come, and if it is not a good experience, you will be missing out on one of the great wonderful things in life. Save it until you are ready, and you trust the man you are with to care about you and your feelings.

It didn't hurt my first time, but I had also been masturbating for several years (with penetration). Usually the pain comes from your hymen being broken. Some advice: use some lube (try KY or just regular old lotion) to help ease it in.

Basic differences in anatomy, men's sexual organs are on the outside of the body. A woman's sexual organs are protected by a thin membrane called the hymen and when this is torn there is bleeding and pain. Of course some girls don't have intact hymens to begin with.

Because Eve was the first to sin in the Garden of Eden. God cursed women's bodies in this area. Increased pain in childbirth and all that.
