I hate Myspace it`s such a waste of time! it`s ok when people use it to talk to friends that live far away but some people use it for stupid reasons like they make myspaces for their cats,hamsters,pets it`s weird

I hate myspace. Everyone at school has one.. I have friends trying to persuade me to get one..But, you know what...I'm not going to get one. I mean I have no time for it, and in a couple of months I'm going to get bored of it and delete my account anyway....so whats the point??.It sucks. Its a waste of time. MYSPACE NEEDS TO DIE!!!.....C'mon shout it with me!!....lol

Some people just have a lot of time on their hands. I have a MySpace, and I love mine. I have found old friends, and keep in touch with family that live far away. For me its the best way to Keep in Touch with everyone.

You hate MySpace? Then don't go on it, seriously, what a pointless question.
Back to that question, people like it because (mainly) they can build extra friendships and relationships to the ones they have in Real Life. Also it's an *amazing* (I cannot stress that enough) place for beginning musicians to place themselves and become public to the world.
Personally? I don't use MySpace, but I like to check out what people do.
Remember, the Internet, mainly is just a giant piece of Fun, that's what people like to do, have fun. So leave and let be.

I think its because people have a lot of time to waste.
Instead of learning, kids nowadays spend their youth online and away from social contact and stimulation.
I have a myspace, but i don't build my life around it. I found some old friends on there, so it's nice to keep in touch with them. Thats as far as it goes.
Anymore, and you're giving away to much private information to the public, which can harm you when applying for a high-paying job.

well, if you hate myspace, just don't go on it. =]
people like it because they communicate with heir friends there, as well as meet new ones.
however, there are the people, like you said, that make myspaces for their pets, as well as turn myspace into a competition: trying to see who has the most friends and comments.
it may seem like most people on myspace are probably horrible students, that having nothing better to do with their lives, but most of them are not.
myspace can be fun, if you know how to use it; it's not exactly a waste of time. for most, its just like any otheremail website: i.e. yahoo, msn, aim, ect. i personally believe that it is the best way to stay in touch with friends and family as well.

so if you move around a lot like me, ive been in 3 highschools and im only a sophmore, you can keep in touch with all of your friends. i like it anyway

well...I don't know I use it to stay in touch with my old friends and cousins, or other family members.
