Is it true that radical Muslims don't like the fact that the west is awash in pornography and loose women? Sure. Does anyone believe if we suddenly became puritans they would stop committing acts of terrorism?

Doubtful, especially given their preferred response to porn and revealing clothing is to commit gang rape on a mass scale.

Were the cultures reversed in terms of sexual modesty -- the West, more puritan, the Muslim world, showing lots of skin (as Allah believes a man should be able to see the goods before he purchases) -- does anyone doubt radical Islamists would be incensed by the fact we cover women up?

Sexual excess makes Islamicists want to kill Christians and Jews (and Hindus, and Buddhists, and atheists, and insufficiently strident Muslims). Here's an incomplete list of other things that make Islamists want to kill:

The only threat that faces America today is liberals and Islamicfascists.

The reason that Radical Islamists are attacking us is not because of the reasons that you have mentioned. They are attacking us because our politicians have interjected us, our country, and our military into another foreign entanglement. I am not for one minute defending these people, who are fighting amongst themselves. what I am saying is that it is none of our business. When you stick your nose into a fight between two parties, your are liable to get it bloodied.

I believe that terrorism is important to some people. Look at what we have as a result of terrorism. Look at what is happening to our Bill of Rights. And look at what is happening to the size and power of our government.

I would rather that we minded our own business, than to live in a Nazi-style, totalitarian state. All these loses of our freedoms are to protect us from terrorism, we are told. But do you see terrorism unleashed toward Sweden, or Switzerland? They are not involved in that area. And they are not a target. As a result, they are not loosing their freedoms.

The radical Islamists point out the prevalence of abortion, homosexuality, blatant sex on TV and pornography to demonize us. But that is not the reason they attacked us. You can thank the authors of our foreign policy for that.

I don't think we can assume your conclusions to be true, because they have no foundation in logic or fact.

I read a lot of broad assertions, not backed up by anything factual, a lot of ignorant and ugly stereotyping, and a lot of wishful stereotyping of the West and our "values".

There are a lot of questions in an open forum that makes one pause and say "That was really dumb."
