Yes, he won't get the nod I don't think but it will give him experience for the next go around. He will have to get use to the attacks, he will have to start figuring out how to sell himself to the non-liberal areas of the country and no time like the present to start learning. He might be too liberal for my taste, but that is no reason for him to set back and not run.

Sure, why not? More choices and voices are always better than less.

If he brings a different perspective, and addresses issues that would otherwise be ignored, then his presence will force the candidates to give more information, which is what elections are SUPPOSED to be about.

Win or lose, I see no reason to say "no."

To the briliant Mark J above, if trying drugs makes him an "addict", then we're currently being run by a coke-head (Bush did a LOT more coke in his lifetime that Obama did), and the majority of government (and the public at large) are all "addicts."

No, he is black, consequently, if he run is going to affect other candidates and will decrease the chances to other democrats instead of helping. The fact that he is black takes him out of the pick, face it reality in the US is racism. Congress with senator trent lott in office represents racism,he supported the following when Strom Thurmond ran for president
During the campaign, he said, "All the laws of Washington and all the bayonets of the Army cannot force the ***** into our homes, our schools, our churches.Thurmond's party ran under a platform that declared in part, "We stand for the segregation of the races and the racial integrity of each race."

Nope. Number one reason, lack of experience. Number two reason, ex drug addict. Number three reason, he leans too much on the Liberal side.
A Liberal, ex-drug addict with a lack of experience running this country? If that's not a dangerous combination, then I don't know what is.
