Stay there but just do what you need to do and enjoy the place.
They do not hire you to like the boss but to do your job. Be nice to him but I would not feel like you need to do something special to please him.

Maybe you could put in for a transfer? That way you could stay at this job but hopefully have a different boss. Is there anyone over this jerk that you could talk to about his aweful behavior? If you think his actions are on purpose to make you upset, maybe you could talk to whoever is his boss and hopefully make it stop. Or if you do not think he is trying to make you miserable, then talk to him personally, maybe he doesn't know how he is acting. Does he irritate other workers like he does to you? If so, then maybe you all can get together do do something, they say there is power in numbers!

If you believe he is discriminating against you, you can take it to the human rights commission and file a complaint against him. You can talk to him and ask him what his problem is reguarding you and hash it out. And maybe you can come to an understanding with him to lay off you and let you do your job. If not, you can lodge a major complain of harassment with his boss and see what happens. That could be a gamble with your job. You may lose it. If your going to lodge a complaint against him, write everything down and especially what he says about you, so you have a concrete view of what has transpired. This way his superiors can take the appropriate action.

Your safest bet would be to talk to someone in your human resources department. They are the ones who are looking out for you. Talk to them and get a professional opinion from someone inside the company and they can give you advice on what you should do, and what they can do to resolve this issue.

How do the other people feel about him? Maybe you can band together and get him to be nicer to you.
Can you get transferred to another department? Maybe if you get promoted you can be above him and won't have to worry.

Have you talked to him about why you are unhappy? If you have, and nothing changed, have you gone to his superiors?
