one thing you can do is to stop focusing on your wife. i know it will be hard to do because this is your morning routine; you get ready for work and focus on how mean and vindictive your wife is in the morning. If you are not the driver you could don a set of headphones and listen to your favorite music, you could also bring reading material to the car; a newspaper, book, magazine, ect.
in other words stop focusing on the negative things that she is doing. you can counteract her negative comments with positive ones for example she might say, "geez, i hate mornings!" and you might say, "well, i think they're great. God has given us another day of life." Or you can remain totally silent and leave her to waddle in her muddy mornings. just because you are married to her does not mean you have to take part in her early morning behavior. don't allow anyone to alter your mood because they are not in a good mood. a bad mood just like a nice smile is contagious. look within--you have more power to change your way of thinking--than to change your wife---even though it's not you behaving in this manner--start by changing the way you respond to her unwanted behavior.

Be a man of the house, and don't take the negative attitude from her, she is suppose to be submissive to you in everything, so smack that bottom of her, until she is more pleasant in the mornings, means she is gonna have a sore bottom for a while, but at least you got some peace, respect as a husband and a man, and then she can be surely respected, and cherished just knowing, her man loves her, and not going be a nice guy no more of dealing with that behavior!

I'm not a morning person myself. I'm not mean and vindictive, but, I am grumpy. My husband doesn't talk to me unless he has to before I've had a minimum of 2 cups of coffee. If he has to talk to me he keeps his voice low because everything is loud to me in the morning. I don't mind that he ignores me, I thank him for being so smart!!

Maybe change the morning routine.
Try fixing the breakfast, if you usually expect it from her. Try having the coffee made, enough hot water for her to shower.........or just try and stay out of her hair.
Morning person's don't normally over come this. So, have patients or make changes to better fit and suit you.

You really shouldn't be calling her that if she's your wife. Some people just aren't morning people. If you love her then you can deal with it. Stay clear of her in the morning, if she yells at you then just ignore it. Be nice to her, it's not like she enjoys being mean to you.

gee, this sounds like me. I hate mornings! I'm fine after I wake up some, and get my coffee in me. Just be patient with her. and know that it will pass. get her coffee for her and have it ready when she wakes up.

i would drive yourself. just tell her why have decided to drive yourself. and if she doesn't change, you won't have to deal with her in the mornings.
some people just aren't morning people. at this point, she isn't going to change. you'll deal with it one way or another.
