My favorite quote is where Patton said "No one ever won a war by dying for their country. Wars are won by making the other bastard die for theirs!"

That's a good one. Mine comes from H.L. Mencken
The larger the mob, the harder the test. In small areas, before small electorates, a first-rate man occasionally fights his way through, carrying even the mob with him by force of his personality. But when the field is nationwide, and the fight must be waged chiefly at second and third hand, and the force of personality cannot so readily make itself felt, then all the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most easily adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum.
The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Since when can you trust any politician? Right now it is all we have got....If we leave we are seen as weak. Right now the country is in the middle of its own civil war....just the way Vietnam started. What gets me is that all you ppl are against Bush going in and getting Saddam....the man murdered millions, but none of you had a problem with Clinton going into Bosnia and getting their hateful and murdering dictator, and he did not even kill as many as Saddam.....But NO Democrat complained about that....so why all the uproar? Do you really think that if the Demos. get in the white house again, that they are going to bring our boys home.....no, because if we do we will look weak to the rest of the world, and the terrorist will see it as another victory. So do you really want to know what Karl rove was stealing .....it was documents proving that Clintoon < yes clint-toon....knew about the terrorist threat on 9-11-01, he knew that if the public found out it would ruin Hills chances for presidency.....see this is how clint wants it......Hill as pres. because all he wants is sectary general of the UN......that would mean that he and his so called wife would be in control of over half the country. this is their plan....he has already begun politicking for Koffee Annans position.

In some historical occasions inspired and meaningful leaders have arose: Winston Churchill, Gandhi, JFK, Martin Luther King, just to name a few.
At other times you have George Galloway, Farrakhan, Le Pen, Mussolini.
I guess it's a toss up.
